FORMS OF VERBS
Note: You can tell that a word is a verb by its form.
- base or simple form
- -s form
- -ed form or past form
- -ing form
- -en form

Take and write = have five different forms
Show, run and plant = have four different forms
Set = have three different forms
Some verbs have the same form
However, the verb “BE” is different. Check the chart below
Regular Verbs – its past form ends with –ed.

Irregular Verbs – its past forms do not end in -ed.
